A fire broke out at a chemical factory in the Sagorika area near the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Six units of fire service are working to control the blaze.

The fire broke out at around 10:30 am on Friday at Homeland Chemical Industries, said Kafil Uddin, duty officer of the control room of Agrabad fire service station.

He said the work to control the fire is going on. “It is difficult to douse the fire as there is a huge amount of combustible material in the factory,” Kafil Uddin also said.

However, the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
