Decapitated bodies of mother, daughter found in Gazipur

Police have recovered the decapitated bodies of a woman and her minor daughter in Gazipur City Corporation's Desipara area. 

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. However, the mother's age will be approximately 25-26 years. She was wearing a brown burqa. The girl is likely to be 4-5 years old. 

The two bodies were recovered around 11:00 pm on Wednesday and sent to the hospital morgue, Gazipur Metropolitan Sadar Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Ripon Chandra Sarkar confirmed to media.  

He said that locals spotted the bodies of mother and daughter lying on the side of the road in Desipara Nagariya area and informed police. Later, the bodies have been recovered an sent to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. 

The victims have sharp weapon marks on their necks, the AC added.
