Diesel-powered transport in Chattogram city will be marked with red and CNG-powered transport with a green sticker. At the same time, the list of fares fixed by the government will be posted inside the transport, terminal and bus stop.

The decision was taken at a coordination meeting of the police with transport owners and labor leaders at the conference room of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) headquarters on Wednesday. CMP Commissioner Saleh Md. Tanvir presided over the meeting.

The commissioner said red stickers will be affixed on diesel-powered vehicles plying in the city and green stickers on CNG-powered transport. Besides, it has been decided to post the list of fares fixed by the government in the presence of CMP, BRTA and employer-labor leaders inside the transport, terminals and bus stoppage so that no extra fare is collected.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Md. Shamsul Alam, Deputy Director of BRTA and Transport Owners-Labor leaders were present.
