Mojibur Rahman, an easy bike driver, staying in the Nagarikandi area in Narsingdi city with her aged mother, father Joynal Gazi died about 20 years ago. Being the only child of the father, he had to choose the path of income instead of education since his childhood to earn a living for his family.

Meanwhile, Mojibur Rahman married Sumi Begum, daughter of Nazrul Islam of Marjal Kamartek in Raipura upazila of the district after being in a relationship for more than one and a half years. Mojibur was happily spending his day with his wife and aged mother.

Suddenly, around a month and a half ago, after returning home from work, Mojibur found that his beloved Sumi was not at home. Later, he learned from Sumi’s mother that she returned her own home.

On the next day, when Mojibur went to his in-law’s house to get back Sumi — he found out that Sumi’s mother Lili Begum became an obstacle in their marriage, although Sumi wanted to return to his husband’s house. She lured Sumi from her husband Mojibur’s house and admitted her to a BSCIC garment factory at Amtala in Shibpur upazila of the district.

Mojibur tried to contact Sumi to get her back, however, failed to bring her home. In such a situation, when Sumi told him that she could not go without her mother’s words, Mojibur hung several billboards in different places including Narsingdi city and Sumi’s possible travel route to get his beloved back.

When Asked how many billboards he had erected, Mojibur said “25 billboards”. Asked why he pulled this, he replied he loves Sumi a lot. “There were no arguments between us when we were in a relationship, even there was no dispute after marriage. I couldn’t live without her,” he said.

Asked if he lodged any GD with the police station, Mojibur said she is in her father’s house, so there was no need to file a GD. “I know Sumi loves me a lot and I will be waiting for her,” he added.
