Rohingya trawler capsize: Another 4 bodies recovered

Police and the Coast Guard on Monday have recovered the bodies of another 4 out of 25 people who went missing after a Rohingya-laden trawler capsized in the Bay of Bengal while fleeing from Bhasan Char in Noakhali.
“4 bodies had been recovered so far over the incident of a Rohingya-laden trawler capsize,” said Abdur Rauf, a public relations officer for the Coast Guard's eastern zone.
The body of a Rohingya was recovered from the sea at the Sarikait area of Sandwip on Monday. The Coast Guard ship ‘Aparajeyo Bangla’, on the other hand, recovered the other body while Sandwip police recovered the another from the sea, Abdur Rauf added.
The navy also recovered a body on Sunday. Two Coast Guard ships are still working to rescue the Rohingya.
Sandwip Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Nur Ahmed said the body of a 40-year-old Rohingya woman was recovered from the seashore of Magadhara UP in Sandwip on Monday. The body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
A trawler carrying 41 Rohingya, including women and children, capsized in the Bay of Bengal southwest from Bhasan Char on Friday night. 27 Rohingyas went missing in the incident. The body of a child was recovered and another person was rescued alive in the incident on Sunday.
