Man killed in Bogura crash while going for NTRCA exam

A passenger was killed and more than seven passengers were injured as a truck hit microbus in Manikchak, Bogura.
The accident took place on Friday morning at the second bypass highway in the area.
The deceased was identified as Sohel Rana, son of Solaiman Ali of Panchgram, Panchbibi of Jaipurhat. The injured were admitted to Bogura’s Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZMC) Hospital.
“Sohail, along with his wife and 8 people, had hired a microbus from Bogura’s Panchbibi to attend the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification (NTRCA) exam at Manikchak High School in Bogura. A truck coming from the opposite direction collided the microbus near the center when it overtakes an autorickshaw. In this, the front of the microbus smashed,” said Bogura Sadar Police Station SI Abdur Rahim.
“Locals rescued the injured immediately and took SZMC hospital and declared Sohail dead. The driver of the truck and his assistant are absconding. The truck and microbus were also kept in police custody,” he added.
