Global Covid-19 cases rise, over 7 lakh infected

Around 734,677 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus worldwide in the last 24 hours while 1,948 people died from the pandemic.
Earlier on Friday, 767,690 COVID- 19 patients were detected while 1,724 deaths related to the disease were reported worldwide.
As of Saturday (13-08-2022), a total of 594,049,752 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus or Covid-19 worldwide, as the death toll rises to 6,451,846 while 566,188,544 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data.
United States has topped the daily death toll and virus cases list. In the last 24 hours, the country has seen 335 deaths by Covid-19 and 85,116 virus cases, reporting a total of 1,062,151 COVID deaths and 94,643,632 infections.
The Worldometer data shows that Brazil has seen the second-highest death toll of 292 in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 681,317. The total number of cases has exceeded 34,148,131 with 23,552 new infections.
Japan has reported 224,929 new coronavirus cases and 214 deaths during the last 24 hours. So far, the country has reported 34,537 deaths and 15,086,304 COVID cases.
In the last 24 hours, 128,671 people have been infected with corona in South Korea and 58 people have died. Since the beginning of the corona epidemic, the country reported 21,111,840 coronavirus cases and 25,499 deaths.
The coronavirus, which was first reported in China in 2019, affects 228 countries and territories worldwide.
