Around 774,633 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus worldwide in the last 24 hours while 2,044 people died from the pandemic.

Earlier on Wednesday, 774,088 COVID- 19 patients were detected while 2,118 deaths related to the disease were reported worldwide.

As of Thursday (11-08-2022), a total of 592,487,828 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus or Covid-19 worldwide, as the death toll rises to 6,446,278 while 564,362,337 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data. 

United States has topped the daily death toll and virus cases list. In the last 24 hours, the country has seen 429 deaths by Covid-19 and 95,530 virus cases, reporting a total of 1,060,755 COVID deaths and 94,348,507 infections.

The Worldometer data shows that Brazil has seen the second-highest death toll of 254 in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 680,852. The total number of cases has exceeded 34,096,935 with 30,935 new infections. 

In Germany, 153 people died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll by the virus to 145,394. Besides, the number of virus cases has exceeded 31,439,645 as 59,888 new cases were reported during the period in the country.

Japan has reported 196,732 new coronavirus cases and 250 deaths during the last 24 hours. So far, the country has reported 34,075 deaths and 14,618,271 COVID cases. 

In the last 24 hours, 151,734 people have been infected with corona in South Korea and 50 people have died. Since the beginning of the corona epidemic, the  country reported 20,845,973 coronavirus cases and 25,382 deaths.

The coronavirus, which was first reported in China in 2019, affects 228 countries and territories worldwide.
