Bangladesh reported three more deaths from coronavirus in the past 24 hours while 296 fresh cases were reported during the same time. 

With this, the total number of coronavirus patients stands at 2,007,670 and the deaths tally rose to 29,307, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.

A total of 5,929 samples were tested across the country during this period. The daily positivity rate is 4.99 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.70 percent.

The report state that 638 people have recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recovery to 19,48,665.

From the beginning of the pandemic, 97.06 percent Covid-19 patients have recovered from coronavirus while 1.46 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.

Bangladesh reported the first Covid-19 cases on March 8, 2020, and the first deaths from the pandemic on March 18 of that year.
