1944 more COVID-19 deaths globally

In the last 24 hours, 797,003 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus worldwide while 1,944 people died from the pandemic.
Earlier on Friday, 790,283 COVID- 19 patients were detected while 1,772 deaths related to the disease were reported worldwide.
As of Saturday morning (06-08-2022), a total of 587,889,216 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 6,434,194 while 558,455,470 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data.
The United States has topped the daily death toll list. In the last 24 hours, 400 people have died and 86,240 people have been infected with coronavirus in the country. The country reported a total of 1,058,637 deaths and 93,866,641 cases.
Brazil has seen the second-highest death toll of 208 in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 679,858. The total number of cases has exceeded 33,994,470 with 29,976 new infections.
Japan has reported 253,392 new coronavirus cases, taking the overall caseload to 13,598,290. The death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 33,159 with 183 people succumbing to the disease in a span of 24 hours.
The coronavirus, which was first reported in China in 2019, affects 228 countries and territories worldwide.
