Four more people died of coronavirus in the country in the last 24 hours. During this time, 618 people have been diagnosed with the virus.
This information was informed in a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday afternoon.
The latest figure states that 20,04,188 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the country so far while 29,284 people have died.
The release also stated that a total of 9,338 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours.
The recovery count rose to 19,40,083 after another 872 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
The current positivity rate is 6.62 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.74 percent.
The latest figures put the recovery rate at 96.67 percent and the mortality rate at 1.46 percent.
Bangladesh reported the first Covid-19 cases on March 8, 2020, and the first death from the virus on March 18, 2020.
