Bangladesh today reported four more deaths from Covid-19, bringing the tally of fatalities from the pandemic to 29,234.
Besides, 900 new virus cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, with this, the overall caseload stood at 19,96,340.
It was said in a press release sent from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today, Sunday (July 17).
The release stated that a total of 8,091 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours.
The current positivity rate is 11.12 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.77 percent.
Among the dead, one each from Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi and Khulna in the last 24 hours — two were men, and two where woman.
The recovery count rose to 19,24,960 after another 1,983 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
Bangladesh reported the first Covid-19 cases on March 8, 2020, and the first death from the virus on March 18, 2020.
