Three more people died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the country, bringing the tally of deaths to 29,198. At the same time, 939 more people were infected with the virus, raising the overall virus caseload to 19,89,040.

It was said in a press release sent from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday. 

A total of 6,024 samples were tested across the country in the previous 24 hours.

The current positivity rate is 15.59 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.77 percent.

The recovery count rose to 19,12,204 after another 837 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.

Of the dead, two are residents of Dhaka while the other is from Barishal.

Bangladesh reported the first Covid-19 cases on March 8, 2020, and the first death from the virus on March 18, 2020.
