Bangladesh reported 12 deaths from the deadly coronavirus which is the highest in four months. Earlier, 13 Covid-19 deaths were reported in the country on March 5, 2022. With the latest, the death toll from the pandemic stands at 29,174.
Another 2, 285 coronavirus cases were reported during the same time, raising the total caseload to 19,80,974, said a press release sent from the Directorate General of Health Service on Monday.
The current positivity rate stands at 16.51 as 13,842 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
The recovery count rose to 19,08,779 after another 482 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 96.36 percent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.47 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
