566 more deaths, over 3 lakh new cases globally

In the last 24 hours, 336,614 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus around the world while 566 died from the pandemic. Taiwan has registered the highest number of deaths from the pandemic during the period. 

Earlier on Sunday, 396,726 COVID-19 patients were detected while 769 deaths related to the disease were reported worldwide. 

As of Monday morning (04-07-2022), a total of 554,412,737 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 6,361,449 while 529,332,055 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data. 

Taiwan has registered 88 deaths and 32,681 new cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 6,956 and counting the overall caseload to 3,870,528 in the country due to the pandemic so far. 

Brazil has seen the second-highest death toll of 79 in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 672,017. The total number of cases has exceeded 32,502,469 with 25,549 new infections. 

Italy has registered the third-highest death toll of 61 during the time. With this, the tally of fatalities from the pandemic has risen to 168,545 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 18,768,871 with 71,947 new cases. 

In Russia, 47 more people have died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 381,263. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 18,439,759 as 3,080 new cases were confirmed during the period. 

Australia has reported 30,282 new coronavirus cases, taking the overall caseload to 8,225,124. The death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 10,014 with 30 people succumbing to the disease in a span of 24 hours. 

The coronavirus, which was first reported in China in 2019, is affecting 228 countries and territories around the world.
