3 more Covid-19 deaths, 1280 new cases

Bangladesh on Saturday reported three more Covid-19 deaths and 1,280 new cases in the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll from the disease has risen to 29,138 people while the caseload stood at 19,63,493 so far.
"Bangladesh reported a 15.07 percent COVID-19 positivity rate, the highest after 133 days as 13,833 samples were tested in the last 24 hours," the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a regular bulletin on Saturday.
Bangladesh logged 16.50 percent COVID-19 positivity rate on February 12.
During the past 24 hours, the combined figure of coronavirus infection in Dhaka city and Upazilas of the district is 1,190 while one Covid-19 death was reported during the period.
The recovery count rose to 19,06,519 after another 102 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 97.10 percent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.48 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
Among the 29,138 fatalities, 12,806 occurred in Dhaka division, 5,863 in Chattogram, 2,142 in Rajshahi, 3,718 in Khulna, 983 in Barishal, 1,329 in Sylhet, 1,417 in Rangpur and 880 in Mymensingh divisions.
