No deaths by COVID in 20 days straight

Bangladesh today reported zero Covid-19 death in the past 24 hours and 26 new cases during the same period. With the latest, the country has not seen a single death by Covid-19 for the last 20 consecutive days.
“Bangladesh reported 0.54 percent of Covid-19 positive cases as 7,490 samples were tested in the last 24 hours,” Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) sources said on Tuesday.
The official tally showed that the death toll by the virus has remained at 29,127 people and infected 19,52,855, so far, the statement added.
The recovery count rose to 18,98,063 after another 265 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 97.17 percent of Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.49 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
Noted that on March 8, 2020, coronavirus was first detected in the bodies of the three people in the country. Ten days later, on March 18 of that year, the country saw the first death by the Covid-19.
