No COVID deaths in 19 days straight, 30 fresh cases counted

Bangladesh today reported zero Covid-19 death in the past 24 hours and 30 new cases during the same period. With the latest, the country has not seen a single death by Covid-19 for the last 19 consecutive days.
“Bangladesh reported 0.40 percent of Covid-19 positive cases as 7,413 samples were tested in the last 24 hours,” Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) sources said on Monday.
The official tally showed that the death toll by the virus has remained at 29,127 people and infected 19,52,829, so far, the statement added.
The recovery count rose to 18,97,798 after another 272 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 97.17 percent of Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.49 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
