4 die of COVID in MMCH

Four more people have died in the last 24 hours in the COVID unit of Mymensingh Medical College (MMC) Hospital. One of them was in the unit with coronavirus and three with symptoms.

Three of the four dead were women. Meanwhile, the hospital's PCR lab and antigen tests have identified 244 more corona in a single day. MMCH COVID unit spokesman Mohiuddin Khan Moon confirmed this information on Thursday morning. 

He said a woman named Maryam Akhter of Sherpur Sadar died of coronavirus in the COVID unit from 8 am on Wednesday to 6am on Thursday. Badal Sarkar of Haluaghat in Mymensingh, Monowara Khatun of Sreepur in Gazipur and Tania Akter of Kishore Sadar also died of corona symptoms at the same time.

He added that 28 new patients have been admitted to the unit. With this, the number of patients undergoing treatment in MMCH Corona unit stands at 82. Of these, 51 are coronavirus positive patients. In addition, six people are currently undergoing treatment in the ICU. On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, 19 people have recovered and returned home.
