One dies of COVID, cases bouncing in Rajshahi

COVID identification rate is bouncing in Rajshahi. 357 people have been identified coronavirus positive in last 24 hours.

The samples were tested at Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) and RMC Hospital RT-PCR Lab on Tuesday. Director of RMCH Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed the matter.

He said no patient had died of coronavirus infection at RMC Hospital in the last 24 hours. However, an old man died of coronavirus symptoms. He was admitted to the 29/30 ward of the hospital with COVID symptoms.

Meanwhile, 49 patients were admitted in the 104-bed RMC COVID unit till 9 am on Wednesday. This number was 43 even a day ago. At present 29 patients from Rajshahi, six from Chapainawabganj, three from Naogaon, two from Natore, three from Pabna, three from Kushtia, one from Sirajganj, one from Jhenaidah and one from Meherpur are hospitalized.

There are 34 people admitted to the hospital with coronavirus. There are 13 people admitted with coronavirus symptoms. COVID was not caught in two samples. Besides, eight people have been admitted in the last 24 hours. Eight people left the hospital after recovering in one day.

Samples of 179 were tested at RMC Hospital Lab on Tuesday. Corona was detected in 117 samples. On the same day, samples of 462 people were tested in RMC Lab and coronavirus was caught in 240 samples. Among them, 227 were detected COVID positive in the sample test of 408 people of Rajshahi. COVID detection rate is 56.60 percent.

Besides, in the sample test of 52 people from Chapainawaganj, 12 people was caught coronavirus infected. COVID detection rate is 23.07 percent. Besides, one person was detected COVID infected in 2 sample tests of Joypurhat.
