3 dies of COVID in Ctg, 1348 fresh cases recorded

Three people have died in the last 24 hours in Chattogram. A total of 1,348 fresh cases have been recorded at the same time.

Civil Surgeon Mohammad Elias Chowdhury confirmed the information on Tuesday morning.

He said that in the last 24 hours, 3,689 samples have been tested in BITID, Chattogram Medical College, Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Antigen Test, Imperial Hospital, Chevron Lab, Chattogram Maternal and Child Hospital, RTL, Medical Center Hospital, Epic Health Care, Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital and Asian Specialized hospital. Among them, coronavirus was found in 1,348 people.

According to the test, the detection rate is 36.54 percent. Which was 39.95 percent in the previous 24 hours. Among the victims 919 from the city, 59 from Fatikchori, 50 from Hathazari, 41 from Rangunia, 40 from Mirsarai, 40 from Raozan, 38 from Patia, 34 from Boalkhali, 30 from Anoara, 21 from Chandnaish, 17 from Lohagara and 17 from Sikundo, 16 from Satkania, 13 from Banshkhali and 12 were from Sandwip.

Earlier, the Civil Surgeon's Office had identified 989 coronavirus positive on Monday, 1,026 on Sunday, 704 on Saturday, 1,017 on Friday, 930 on Thursday and 989 on Wednesday. In other words, 6,146 people have been identified in the district in one week.

According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, 82,780 people in the city and 30,680 people at the upazila level have so far infected 1,13,460 people in Chattogram district. Besides, 1,346 people had died. Among them, 728 are from the city and 618 from the upazila.

On April 3, 2020, the first coronavirus patient was identified in Chattogram. Then on April 9, the first person died from the virus.
