JNJ’s vaccine arrived in country for first time

Johnson & Johnson’s (JNJ) coronavirus vaccine has arrived in the country for the first time. The vaccine arrived from the United States under COVAX.

3 lakh 36 thousand doses of vaccine arrived in the country on Thursday (January 20) morning.

Dr. Shamsul Haque, a member secretary of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), confirmed the matter.   

Noted that Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine is a single dose. Earlier, all the vaccines being given in Bangladesh were two doses. Johnson’s vaccine can be stored at room temperature in the refrigerator. No freezer is required.
