One dies of COVID in Ctg

One person had died by COVID in Chattogram in the last 24 hours. Besides, 930 people have been identified COVID positive.

Civil Surgeon Mohammad Elias Chowdhury confirmed the information on Thursday morning. 

He said that in the last 24 hours, 3,053 samples have been tested at BITID, Chattogram Medical College, Antigen Test, Imperial Hospital, Chevron Lab, Chattogram Maternal and Child Hospital, RTL, Medical Center Hospital, Epic Health Care, Lab Aid, Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital, Asian Specialized Hospital and Shah Amanat international airport. Coronavirus was found in the bodies of 930 people among them.

According to the test, the detection rate is 30.46 percent. Which was 30.98 percent in the previous 24 hours. Among the victims 757 are from the city, 42 from Sitakundo, 23 from Boalkhali, 16 from Hathazari, 15 from Raozan, 13 from Rangunia, 13 from Satkania, 10 from Fotikchori, 10 from Patiya, 10 from Lohagora, four from Sandwip, nine from Mirsarai, three from Anwara and one is from Chandnaish.

Earlier, the Civil Surgeon's Office had identified 989 coronas on Wednesday, 738 on Tuesday, 742 on Monday, 550 on Sunday, 239 on Saturday and 296 on Friday.

According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, one 1,08,376 have been infected with coronavirus in Chattogram district so far with 79,024 people in the city and 29,352 people at the upazila level. Besides, 1,342 people died. Of these, 728 are from the city and 614 are from the upazila.

On April 3, 2020, the first COVID patient was identified in Chattogram. Then on April 9, the first person died from the virus in the city.
