COVID claims 3 in MMCH

Three more people have died in the last 24 hours in the corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College(MMC) Hospital. One of them died by corovirus and two with symptoms.

The information was confirmed on Thursday morning by Mohiuddin Khan Moon, the spokesman of COVID unit of MMCH.

The deceased have been identified as Rabia Khatun of Mymensingh Sadar, Enamul Haque of Netrokona Sadar and Dulal Uddin of Jamalpur Sadar. Rabia Khatun was COVID positive.

Dr. Mohiuddin Khan Moon said 18 new patients have been admitted to the unit in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of patients undergoing treatment in MMCH coronavirus unit stands at 68. 32 are corona positive patients among them. Besides, four people are currently undergoing treatment in ICU. And six people have recovered and returned home in the last 24 hours.

District Civil Surgeon Mohammad Nazrul Islam said that in the last 24 hours, in the PCR lab and antigen test of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, 455 samples were tested and 90 people were identified coronavirus positive.

Earlier, two people died of symptoms in the COVID unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Wednesday. However, no one died by COVID on that day.

The deceased were identified as Hares Ali, 90, of Sadar upazila of Mymensingh and Aklima Akter, 19, of Madhupur upazila of Tangail.
