RMCH counts zero deaths, cases reduce

Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital has reported no deaths in the last 24 hours. The detection rate has also decreased slightly.

No one has died of coronavirus or symptoms in the last 24 hours in the COVID unit of Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital. However, a new patient has been admitted in the last 24 hours while even people have returned home.

Director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed the matter on Tuesday morning.

He said no patient had died at RMC. Besides, the detection rate has decreased compared to yesterday.

He added that 33 patients were admitted to the 104-bed RMC Hospital's COVID unit till 8 am on Monday. At present 30 patients are admitted. Of these, 18 patients from Rajshahi, 6 from Chapainawabganj, 3 from Naogaon, one from Natore and 2 from Pabna have been admitted to the hospital.

He added that 18 people are admitted to the hospital with coronavirus. 8 people are admitted with symptoms. There are six patients who have not been tested yet.

Earlier, COVID samples of 94 people were tested at the RT PCR lab at RMC Hospital on Monday. Coronavirus has been identified in the bodies of 41 people. On the same day, samples of 108 people were tested in the lab of Rajshahi Medical College. 21 people has been identified to be infected with COVID. All the newly identified coronavirus patients are residents of Rajshahi. Now the proportion of coronavirus detection in Rajshahi stands at 30.70 percent as compared to the sample test, which was 33.19 percent yesterday.
