6 die, 215 fresh cases counted in 24hrs

Bangladesh has reported six deaths from COVID-19 and 215 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
With the latest figure, the death toll from the pandemic rose to 27,901 people while the overall caseload stood at 15,71,228.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its routine daily statement on the COVID situation today.
A total of 16,812 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours (till 8 am today), yielding a virus positivity rate of 1.28 percent.
The total positivity rate stands at 15.11 percent, DGHS said, reported that the latest figures put the recovery rate at 97.7 percent while the mortality rate stands at 1.78 percent.
The recovery count rose to 15,35,034 after another 209 patients were discharged from the hospitals in the span of 24 hours.
