COVID claims 7 deaths today too, 227 patients recovered

Bangladesh today reported 247 COVID-19 fresh cases while the coronavirus claimed seven lives in the last 24 hours.

“With the latest figure, the deaths toll from the virus soar to 27,887 while the overall virus caseload increased to 15,70,485,” Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its routine daily statement today (Thursday, November 4).

As many as 18,690 samples were conducted in the last 24 hours (till 8 am today), yielding the virus positivity of 1.31 percent. Besides, the total positivity rate stands at 15.06 percent.

The recovery count rose to 15,34,300 after another 227 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the past one day.

From the beginning of the pandemic, 97.70 percent of Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.78 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
