Zidane in isolation

Real Madrid’s head coach Zinedine Zidane has remained in isolation after having in direct contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19, as a result, the French legend may miss the game against Osasuna this week.

Although he was tested Covid-19 negative, he did not inspect the first team’s training session on Thursday morning. 

Zidane only went to Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground on Friday morning to undergo the PCR test as well as the antigen test. His rapid antigen test and the PCR test also returned negative.

Under La Liga protocol — Zidane will have to remain in isolation for three days until he undergoes another PCR test even if after testing negative on Thursday.

If he tests negative in the second test, he will clear to return to work with the rest of the squad.
