Former India pacer Zaheer Khan has been awarded Padma Shri which is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. The Government of India awarded him the honor on Sunday.

Zaheer Khan said goodbye to cricket in 2015. He is one of the best pacers in India. The left-arm pacer is the highest wicket-taker in India 2011 World Cup.

He is the second-highest wicket-taker in India in Test cricket with 311 wickets. He is India’s fourth-highest wicket-taker in ODI cricket with 282 wickets.

Zaheer Khan made his India debut in 2000. He was the main weapon for bowling attacks in India’s Test and ODI cricket during his 15-year career.
