Youth held over question paper leak in Sherpur

The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have detained a young man for allegedly spreading rumours about question leak and result changes on social media from Chapatali Boro Masjid area in Sherpur Sadar Upazila on Sunday night.
The detainee was identified as Md Mosarraf Hossain Shawon, son of Md Ataur Rahman. RAB-14 also recovered a mobile phone from Shawon, said the press release sent from RAB.
According to the RAB, Shawon has been fraudulent on social media since 2018. Since then, he has been spreading various rumours regarding question leakage and test result changes of all public exams including PSC, JSC, SSC, HSC, and Degree. Through this, he has taken a huge amount of money using mobile banking service bKash.
During the various exams, he introduced himself as the chief officer of the Ministry of Education and tempted the students, the press release added.
RAB Deputy Director SP MD Tofail Ahmed Mia confirmed the matter and said that a case has been lodged against Mosarraf Hossain Shawon with Sherpur Sadar Police Station.
