Youth died at isolation not affected by coronavirus

The patient who died in the isolation ward at Khagrachari Sadar Health Complex did not have coronavirus, confirmed civil surgeon Nupur Kanti Dash on Saturday afternoon.
She said the samples collected from the body were sent to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Wednesday after the youth’s death.
“Saturday’s report did not show any coronavirus in his body,” civil surgeon Nupur informed.
The youth was suffering from fever, cough, and dyspnea for a long time and admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital on Wednesday after showing symptoms of coronavirus. He died at around 9:00 pm on that day.
Meanwhile, four people including doctors who treated him were kept at home quarantine after the incident.
Khagrachari DC Pratap Chandra Bishwas, at the same time, confirmed on his official Facebook page that the youth died at the isolation unit of the sadar hospital was not affected by the coronavirus.
