Young Tigers` World Cup mission starts tomorrow

The U-19 Cricket World Cup has started today where Afghanistan U-19s team beat host South Africa U-19s by 7 wickets. Young Tigers will start their U-19 World Cup with the match against Zimbabwe U-19s.
The match will start at 2 pm at Potchefstroom.
Before the World Cup, Tiger youths played two formal preparatory matches. Akbar's team tied with Australia in the first match. However, they lost the second match to New Zealand by 4 wickets.
Bangladesh could not play in any of the World Cup finals. Their best success in under-19 cricket is third place. Bangladesh won all of the three matches in the 'A' group in the 27th edition. So they are named as champions and play in the Super League. Bangladesh won the quarterfinals in the Super League but lost 4 wickets to the West Indies in the semifinals.
However, Bangladesh's goal is to play in the finals this year. Indicating that the captain of Bangladesh Akbar Ali said, 'Our team is very balanced. We are in good shape, batting, bowling, fielding, all three divisions. Everyone in our team is very talented. If we can play our best cricket, we can go to the end of the tournament.
Bangladesh first participated in the Youth World Cup in 1998. So far, they have played a total of 70 matches in 11 sessions. Of these, they won 48 matches and lost in 20 matches and two were abandoned.
Besides, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh will play against Pakistan and Scotland on January 21 and 24, respectively.
