World sees 5110 deaths, 411,373 cases in a day

In the last 24 hours, 411,373 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus around the world while 5,110 died from the pandemic. The United States has seen the highest number of deaths from the pandemic and infections during the period.
As of Tuesday noon, a total of 43,800,644 people has been diagnosed with the virus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 1,164,784 while 32,187,450 patients have recovered, according to worldometers data.
The US, the worst-hit country in the world, has registered 529 deaths and 69,841 new cases in the last 24 hours. The country is still at the top in coronavirus deaths and infections. A total of 231,045 people died in the country due to the pandemic and 8,962,783 have been infected so far.
India reported 36,838 new coronavirus cases, taking the overall caseload to 7,945,888 while 7,198,715 people have recuperated so far. The death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 119,535 with 505 people succumbing to the disease in a span of 24 hours. India has the second-highest number of active cases and ranks third in the COVID-19 death toll.
The Latin American country of Argentina has seen the third-highest death toll of 405 in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 29,301. The total number of cases has exceeded to 1,102,301 with 11,712 new infections.
Iran has registered the fourth-highest death toll of 337 during the time. With this, the tally of fatalities from the pandemic has risen to 32,953 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 574,856 as 5,960 new cases were confirmed during the period.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China late last year, is now affecting 215 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
