World Egg Day; ‘Eat Egg Every Day’

World Egg Day is celebrating all over the world on Friday. In 1996, the Austrian capital, Vienna, organized the first ‘World Egg Day’ which is later celebrated on the second Friday of October every year.
This year the theme of the day is “Eat Your Egg Today and Every Day”.
In 2013, World Egg Day was observed for the first time in Bangladesh. Since then, World Egg Day has been celebrated in Bangladesh every year.
In 1964, the International Egg Commission (IEC) was established to establish eggs as one of the best quality and readily available non-vegetarian foods in the world.
World Egg Day is now celebrated in 40 countries around the world, including United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, India, etc., with the aim of meeting the demand for animal meat, building a healthy and meritorious nation and raising public awareness about the quality of eggs.
