Women’s IPL will be on time: Ganguly

The T20 World Cup has been postponed, as a result, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has started preparations for the IPL. In the meantime, the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly dispelled all speculations about the women’s IPL, saying the women’s IPL will be on the held in time under the name ‘Challenger Series’.
There were rumors that women’s cricket was being neglected amidst the busy schedule of IPL officials. However, the BCCI president said that they are preparing for the women’s IPL. The board also has specific plans for the girls' national team.
“I can assure you that women’s IPL will take place on time. Besides, we also have a plan for the women’s national team,” said Sourav Ganguly in various Indian media.
However, the board did not specify the date of the Challenger series, but the board is considering organizing a women’s 'tournament at the end of the man’s IPL. The women’s matches may be held from November 1 to 10.
The national camp for girls is likely to start next October. In that case, girls can start preparing in the UAE before the IPL.
