The commotion started when three college students went ‘missing’ after leaving their house in the capital’s Pallabi. During the disappearance, the students took cash, gold ornaments, school certificates and valuable items from their houses. RAB finally rescued the three students after 16 days of their disappearance.

RAB-4 captain Mozammel Hossain confirmed the matter on Wednesday afternoon. 

Meanwhile, a RAB source said that the three missing college students first stayed at Cumilla, then they went to Cox’s Bazar and stayed at Hotel Sea Shine there. 

During the preliminary interrogation, the students claimed a woman named Mehazabien had “persuaded” them, RAB sources said, informed the media that the RAB is currently looking into the matter.

It is to be mentioned that On September 30, three teenage friends – aged between 16 and 18 – left their homes in college uniforms without saying anything to their families. One of them took Tk 6 lakh in cash, another took 2.5 tolas of gold and the other took Tk 75,000 and several mobile phones from their houses.

The three students were rescued from Abdullahpur in the capital on Wednesday, around 16 days after their disappearance.
