Bangladesh lost their first T20Is to Pakistan by 5 wickets in last over at Lahore today. Bangladesh could not able to post a competitive total in the scoreboard after chose to bat first and skipper Mahmudullah Riyad terms it the main reason for defeat.

Batting first Bangladesh post 141 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 over. In reply, Pakistan chased down the target keeping 5 wickets and 3 balls in hand. Shoaib Malik was not out on 58.

After the match, Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah said, Good contest. Wicket was surprising and hard to play shots once the ball got older and softer, though the bowlers did well. We were about 15 runs short today and gave away too many boundaries. We missed a few run-out chances and catch chances. The hospitality has always been good in Pakistan, we're looking forward to the next game.

Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the 2nd T20Is tomorrow.
