Whacked train smashed by trains in Maghbazar

A truck was smashed by trains which was out of whack on the railway track in capital’s Maghbazar area.

The incident occurred on Saturday morning when two trains rammed the truck in two phases. 

And with this incident, one of the two railway lines has been shut down on Saturday morning. However, no casualties occurred in the incident.

According to witnesses, the engine of the truck was out of whack while crossing the Maghbazar railway gate in the early morning. The truck driver could not mobilize the truck even after several attempts. Later, the driver got out of the truck after being on the railway track. Meanwhile, the Sylhet-Kamalapur-bound Upaban Express train hit the truck.

They also said that the truck fell 10 meters away and hit by another train (Kamalapur to Jamalpur-bound Balaka Express) on the other side of the railway track.

Kamalapur Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Yasin Faruque said, “The train movement normal after taking away the smashed truck from the railway track.”
