Water flowing in Jamuna 98 centimeters above the danger

The water level of Jamuna River increased due to the downpour and continuous water from upstream and the water was flowing 98 centimeters above the danger level in the Bogura's Sariakandi upazila at 6 pm on Tuesday.
According to the Water Development Board, the water level in the Jamuna rose by 44 cm in the 24 hours from 6 pm on Monday that have flooded new areas. The flood victims are going to safe shelter with their cattle and goods as their houses and crops are submerged in water.
According to the Upazila Project Implementation Office, 25,250 families in 123 villages of Sariakandi have been flooded.
Mahbubur Rahman, executive engineer of the Water Development Board, said that the river water may continue to rise for two more days. The flood control dam at Sariakandi is still in good condition. Due to this the amount of damage will be less.
