Veteran actor Khalil’s 5th death anniv today

Today is the fifth death anniversary of veteran actor Khalil Ullah Khan. He died on this day in 2014. He acted in more than 800 films in his five-decade acting career.

Musa Khan, son of Khalil Ullah Khan, said, “Today, we have organized Milad and Dua Mahfil after Asar prayer at Mohammadpur Baitul Fazal Jame Masjid.” He asked for his father’s blessing.

Khalil Ullah Khan started his career with a TV drama. He received the National Film Award for his performance in the movie ‘Gunda’. In 1959, with the film ‘Sonar Kajal’, directed by Kalim Sharafi and Jahir Raihan, Khalil made his debut as a hero. He also acted in several dramas before.

Notable films of Khalil include ‘Preet Na Jane Reet’, ‘Sangam’, ‘Bhawal Sanyani’, ‘Jangliphul’, ‘Agun’, ‘Pagla Raja’, ‘Minto Amar Nam’, ‘Kajal’ etc.

In the Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah movie, he was praised by the audience for his unique performance in the role of Mir Jafar.
