Veteran AL leader Amu receives COVID-19 vaccine

Amir Hossain Amu received coronavirus vaccine at the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Clinic
Amir Hossain Amu, a veteran member of the Awami League's advisory council, former industries minister and coordinator and spokesperson of the ruling party-led 14-Party Alliance, has been vaccinated against coronavirus.
He took the vaccine at the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Clinic on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, a nationwide vaccination campaign against coronavirus is underway. So far, more than 2.5 million people have been vaccinated.
It has been reported that 2 million doses of vaccine reached Bangladesh as a gift from the Seram Institute of India to prevent the coronavirus pandemic on January 21. Later, according to the agreement, another 5 million doses of coronavirus vaccine arrived in the country on January 25. On January 26, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the vaccination program. Later, on February 8, a mass vaccination drive started all over the country.
