‘Very enthusiastic people aggravating coronavirus’

Prof Dr. Mirzadi Sabrina Flora, director of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR), said on Saturday that some very enthusiastic people are aggravating the coronavirus. 

She made the remarks at the IEDCR press briefing at Mohakhali’s Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the capital. 

Referring to the Benapole customs commissioner’s Facebook status for detecting coronavirus patients, Mirzadi Sabrina said, “We are embarrassed to reveal such secret information about suspected cases.” 

“Due to his (customs commissioner), the man got in trouble.” 

Referring to this as a very serious issue, she said that it is necessary to act responsibly, not lightly. “From a responsible position, such behavior is not desirable. You should not be aggravated when raising awareness. Taking advantage of such events can impact the whole program.”

A Bangladeshi has been detected coronavirus in Abu Dhabi, the IEDCR director said, “The affected person is 40 to 41-years-old. He did not travel to China. He came in contact with someone back from China. The health department of Abu Dhabi says his physical condition is stable.” 

Informing the physical condition of five Bangladeshis suffering from coronavirus in Singapore is stable, Sabrina said, “The condition of one is alarming. He is under close observation of doctors.”  

Singapore was given importance after China for various reasons. Now it is seen that more cases are occurring in South Korea, followed by Japan. Now the situation of these two countries is also closely monitored, she added.
