Verdict over attack on Sheikh Hasina`s motorcade today

Some men are attacking the then opposition leader and now Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina`s motorcade
The verdict will be announced today in the case filed over the attack on a motorcade of the then opposition leader and now Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Kalaroa in Satkhira in 2002.
The imprisoned 34 accused in the case will be produced before Satkhira Chief Judicial Magistrate Humayun Kabir's court.
The imprisoned accused in the case are- Satkhira- 1 seat former MP Habibul Islam Habib, Ashraf Hossain, Nazrul Islam, Md. Abdur Razzak, Sheikh Tamim Azad Marine, Md. Abdur Rakib Mollah, Md. Akhtarul Islam, Md. Abdul Majid, Md. Hasan Ali, Moyna, Abdus Sattar, Tofazzal Hossain Sentu, Md. Zahurul Islam, Golam Rasul, Advocate Md. Abdus Sattar, Abdus Samad, Md. Altaf Hossain, Shahabuddin, Md. Saheb Ali, Sirajul Islam, Rakib, Trolley Shahidul, Md. Monirul Islam, Sheikh Kamrul Islam, Yasin Ali, Shelley, Shahinur Rahman, Didar Moral, Sohag Hossain, Mahafuzur Mola, Abdul Ghaffar Gazi, Rinku, Advocate Md. Abdus Samad, Tiger Khokon alias Badhe Khokon.
The fugitive accused are- Abdul Quader Bachchu, Mofizul Islam, Md. Alauddin, Khaled Manzur Rommel, Arifur Rahman, Ripon, Yasin Ali, Rabiul Islam, Mazaharul Islam, Abdul Khaleq, Abdur Rob, Sanju, Nazmul Hossain, Jabid Raihan Lucky, Kanak, Md. Mahafuzur Rahman.
On August 30, 2002, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was returning to Magura after visiting a freedom fighter's wife in Satkhira when her convoy got attacked in Kalaroa.
Hasina survived the attack relatively unscathed but many of the Awami League leaders including District Awami League convener Engineer Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Central Awami League leader Fatema Zaman Sathi, Abdul Matin, Jobaidul Haque Russell and Shahidul Haque Jibon were injured. Several journalists from Satkhira were also attacked.
At the same time, Kalaroa’s commander of freedom fighters Mohammad Moslem Uddin filed a case against 27 for the attack which was later dismissed due to not being recorded at the police station.
The case got reopened on 15th October 2014 and investigating officer of that time-pressed charges against 50 accused in this connection.
