Verdict in Rifat murder case September 30

The court has announced the date of the verdict in the Rifat Sharif murder case in Barguna on September 30. Barguna District and Sessions Judge Ashaduzzaman announced the date of the verdict on Wednesday noon.
The verdict was announced after concluding arguments for and against the 10 adults accused in the Rifat murder case.
The prosecution's argument began in the court of Barguna District Sessions Judge Ashaduzzaman on Wednesday. Ayesha Siddika Minni, accused in the Rifat murder case, appeared in court with her father Mozammel Hossain Kishore around 9 am. Eight adults accused in the case have also been produced in court under tight security.
According to court sources, after the testimony of 76 witnesses against 10 adults accused in the Rifat murder case, the court accepted defense witness behalf of one accused. The concerned lawyers then presented arguments in the court against all the accused. The court fixed the date of the verdict after presenting arguments on behalf of Ayesha Siddique Minni, wife of the deceased Rifat.
On June 26, 2019, in front of Barguna Government College, Nayan Bond and his accomplices publicly hacked Rifat Sharif with Ramadan and seriously injured him. After that they left the area. Seriously injured Rifat died on the same day at Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
On September 1, police filed a chargesheet against 24 people, including Rifat's wife Minni, in the Rifat Sharif murder case in the Barguna Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court. At the same time, the number one accused in the Rifat murder case, Nayan Bond, was killed in a gunfight and he was acquitted.
On January 1, the Barguna District and Sessions Judge's Court framed charges against 10 adults accused in the Rifat murder case. On the other hand, on January 8, the Barguna Children's Court framed charges against 14 juveniles accused in the Rifat murder case.
One of the adults accused in the charge sheet of the case Md. Musa is still a fugitive. Besides, six juveniles, including Rifat's wife Minni, have been granted bail by the High Court and Barguna Juvenile Court.
The adult accused in the Rifat murder case are- Rakibul Hasan Rifat Faraji, Al Qayyum alias Rabbi Akon, Mohaiminul Islam Sifat, Rezwan Ali Khan Hridoy alias TikTok Hridoy, Md. Hasan, Md. Musa, Ayesha Siddika Minni, Rafiul Islam Rabbi, Md. Sagar and Kamrul Islam Simon.
