State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said the ‘vaccine certificate’ would be automatically generated after taking the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The State Minister said this while exchanging views with reporters after receiving the second dose of coronavirus vaccine at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University (BSMMU) on Thursday.
Responding to a query from reporters, the State Minister said there was a problem at first in registration for vaccination, however, it was solved later. “About 69 lakh people have registered to take the first dose. And about 52 lakh vaccines have been given,” he informed.
The State Minister further said he has taken the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine. “Almost one hour passed, so far I am not feeling any side effects physically. Alhamdulillah, I am fine.”
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the Prime Minister has worked with everyone with her determination, courage and foresight to tackle the global epidemic during these 12 months and provided vaccines from the very beginning.
There were many kinds of propaganda, many kinds of conspiracies against the country, against the vaccine, the State Minister said, adding that the people of the country have come forward. They have responded to the call of the Prime Minister and received the vaccine. “As a result, we were able to take the second dose of coronavirus vaccine today.”
“We should abide by the health safety by getting vaccinated. We keep ourselves safe, we keep our families safe and we all cooperate to keep the country safe,” said Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
