Nurses in the United States protest demanding adequate protective equipments to deal with the deadly coronavirus spread worldwide. The protests have been reported in California, Florida, Kansas, Nevada and the Texas states.

Nurses took part in protests outside six US hospitals maintaining social distance on Thursday. The National Nurses 'Union, organized the protest.

The union is comprised of around 10,000 nurses from the 18 registered hospitals in the country. HCA Healthcare of California is in charge of managing it.

In a statement, the union said that nurses' personal protection is essential to serving a patient with a virus infection. Therefore, in the hospitals and clinics of the country, various medical supplies and equipment will have to be provided to ensure the personal safety of the nurses.

"Nurses and patients are not safe in dealing with coronavirus, so we are demanding all arrangements for nurses," said Bradley Van Voss, spokesman for The National Nurses Union.

Bradley also said that most US-based hospitals do not have the equipment needed to protect nurses. He also commented that the issue is very sad and not acceptable.
