U-23 India series: Bangladesh lost to host by 34 runs

Bangladesh-23 team lost to the host India in their maiden innings of the India mission. Although the bowlers have set the stage to hold on to the hosts, Bangladesh have not won in the batting failure. India defeated Bangladesh U-23 team by 34runs.

India took batting first in Lucknow on Friday, and made target of 192 runs, for 9 wickets. In reply, Bangladesh could not score more than 158 runs in 48.4 overs.

Top order captain Saif Hasan failed only earning 12 runs off 22 balls. Another opener Sabbir Hossain earned zero. Yasser Ali, who made the worst performance having only 6 runs in 26. Zakir Hasan made the best 48 runs but couldn't stay long. Retired heart and returned to the kitchen. Apart from this, Ariful Haque scored 38, Maheedi Hassan 20, and at the end Rabul Haque collected 21 runs.

Shubhang Hays, Hrithik Shoken and Jaysavi Jaisal took two wickets for the India.

Aryan Jewell scored 69, the highest score for the India. And Sarath scored 42 runs.

The second match of the series will be held on the same ground on Saturday. The next three matches will be on September 23, 25 and 27.
