Two school boys drowned in Karnaphuli to pick up shoes

Rescue operation of fire service
Two teenagers drowned into Karnaphuli river in Chattogram while picking up shoes on Thursday noon.
The deceased have been identified as Jayanta Roy and Ankon Deb, class-ix students of Alkaron School.
According to the fire service, seven students of Alkaron School went for a walk in the Firingi market area of Karnaphuli river on Thursday morning. When a student named Jayanta Roy's shoe fell into the river, he tried to pick it up. At this time Jayanta slipped and fell into the river. When his classmate Ankon Dev descended into the river to rescue him, he also drowned.
Upon receiving the news, the fire service divers rescued them and took them to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared them dead.
