Two killed in Nasirnagar clash

At least two people were killed and five others injured in a clash between two groups at Nasrinagar in Brahmanbaria.

The incident took place at Rampur village of Goalnagar union Parishad in the upazila on Monday. Deceased are Barju Mia and Rafisa Begum, said the chairman of Goalnagar UP.

Goalnagar UP chairman Azharul Haque said that there was a longtime dispute between Advocate Jahangir and Miraz Mia over of Goalnagar UP. There was a clash between the two parties six months ago. They were involved in the clashes at noon over the previous dispute. In this incident, Miraz Mia and Barju Mia died on the spot. At least 5 others were injured in the incident. However, the names of the injured were not known.

Brahmanbaria Additional SP Alamgir Hossain said police have been sent to the spot. Strict measures will be taken against people who involved in the incident.
