Two killed in Nandail road crash

Two people including a child were killed in separate road accidents in Mymensingh on Monday.

A child was killed when an autorickshaw overturned at Sidstore intersection of Jahangirpur Union of Nandail of the district at around 10am.

According to locals, the accident happened when Aynal Haque's wife and his son were going to collect aid under child care scheme by an autorickshaw. Their autorickshaw overturned and fell into the roadside ditch when it was taking a turn leaving the child injured. When the child was taken to Nandail Upazila Health Complex the duty doctor declared him dead. 

On the other hand, a Dakhil examinee was killed in another road accident on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Shihab Uddin, son of Faizur Rahman Abul of Charani Para mahalla of Nandail municipality. He was a Dakhil examinee from Achargaon Fazil Madrasa. 

The incident took place at Merenga on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj highway around 2pm on Sunday. 

Locals said was going to Nandail from Kishoreganj. On the way, he lost control over the steering of his bike and collided with an autorickshaw leaving him seriously injured. Later he was rushed to Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor referred him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. He died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. 

Nandail Model Police Station OC Mizanur Rahman Akand said the family had been allowed to bury the body as no complaint was filed.
